Banning The Aussie Flag - Is It Just A Publicity Stunt?

I just returned from the the U.S. and noticed once against the
prolification of the U.S. flags everywhere - very patriotic.
This email was sent from an Aussie in the USA!

In Texas, they were flying at half mast to respect the death of former President Gerald Ford.

They were like that the entire week I was there…so it was at least longer then a week

Well, I put the news on today, and the gutless organisers of the the Big Day out are suggesting to those that come, to leave the Aussie flag at home, so as to not incite inappropriate behavour….What??

Well I went to their website, and sure enough it is true!

Well….lets change that that pathetic empathy amounst our aussie mates.

I would also like to send a message to all of our members, contacts, to buy a flag and put it in our churches, our meetings, everywhere, indoors and out

Let’s be the pioneers pf a fresh push to honour our heritage and show it in the flag.

Cheers,
John

PS. I sent an e-mail to the organisers of the big day out suggesting that their policy will have the opposite affect, and the way to change inappropriate behavour is to do the very opposite - fly the flag at every opportunity, and honour our heritage

They have certainly achieved a great deal of publicity with this stunt!
