Sometimes when you go to help people it just backfires.
We took a call from a client who was in a panic – told them our fees – they acknowledged our charges, so we took the next step.
Four months later and we’re still chasing payment!
So how do you avoid bad debts?
The lesson we’ve learned is that when people are desperate for help they’ll do whatever it takes – so we ask for payment upfront.
If they don’t like that or don’t want to do that, its OK with us – we’ve not lost anything, and we’ve saved any hassle later.
If they choose to pay upfront, then we can get on and do the work without worrying about being paid
